Roma: Italy Part II (Photo edition)

A little cards on the train from Florence to Rome.

A view from the train.

A little agriculture.

Tim in mid-blink/head shake...

...everyone thoroughly amazed.

Scenery from train.

Our accommodations with Tim in bed.

Paul and I in front of a fountain featuring Poseidon.

A little closer.

Closer still. Poseidon.

One of many obelisks.

Very detailed carvings.

Now entering Piazza Navona.

A little history lesson first from our tour guide.

Poseidon taking care of some cephalopod nonsense.

A little further away.

"Inappropriate choice of location to engage in that sort of behavior" photo at the best angle i could find.

Had to give it a go.

Blurry photo.

A view from the top.

And another.

More fountains.

Another history lesson.

Gargoyle dog.

If you look and see the white bit up and right from the cross, that's the moon.

The Pantheon.

A trick to make the Pantheon seem more crowded.

My safari-style shot of Paul, Tim and Zach.

This one just kind of bothered me.

Inside the Pantheon.

oooohhhhh....aaaaaahhhhhh.....

He had to make another appearance.

Look up...

...look down.

An alter.

Proof I was actually there.

Hidden camera.

Where to go next?

Model shot.

Walking away from the Pantheon.

The Colosseum.

Not even sure where to begin.

Going to need that camera back now.

Tim lands the gut-wrenching blow.

Inside the beast.

Absolutely certain a tiger got free at some point and ran amok in those caverns.

Not one of my best looks.

Wolfhat can't get enough.

He is at one with the Colosseum.

Tweet update.

Taking it all in.

Paul after speaking with two rather unfriendly UNI girls.

A time for serious.

We must make our way to higher ground troops.

The place grows as you wander around inside.

A profile piece.

Awesome.

Zach doing his thing.

Meta.

A helpful young woman captured the moment for us.

Marble at its awesomeness.

We just ate fresh.

A little too close.

I love my Italian bridges.

Little critter having a swim.

A mother duck and her ducklings.

Just a random corner in Rome.

Riot police assemble

Maintain coolness in self-shot photograph.

Capturing the moment in terrible photography.

A small parade passes through.

Zach hamming it up for the camera.

Lots of railings to lean on.

Not in the shot.

In the shot.

A magical moment. Five before the child in this photo froze before me in awe.

I climbed higher to look out.

I don't think they see me.

Here I am.

Not really sure what to do now.

There is fire, it's just hard to see.

Mussolini's balcony.

Enjoying the birds.

Worth the euro.

The Roman Forum

Enjoy its magnificence.

Taking a rest break.

Tim in blue reflection.

It was really cool.

The construction was a bit of a distraction.

Wolfhat in the Forum.

An excellent adventure.

Enjoyment had by all.
