The rain in Spain stays mainly in the plain

I don't know if that's true or not but  Barcelona had far more beautiful weather than here in Glasgow. Sure there were the occasional cloudy mornings but that's happen. They cleared up by early afternoon anyway so I'm certainly not complaining.

Oh, I forgot...How's everybody doing? Let me see if I can update everyone on what's been going on in my life recently. I'm sure you were all waiting with bated breath to hear if I passed or failed my last term and let me help you relax and say that, yes, I did pass both courses so I"m qualified to have my final project considered for a masters degree. So now that I've finished up writing that last portfolio I now get to start writing a new one. Fortunately I am completely and forever done with academic essays so *expletive*'a to that.

So yes, recently tori and I went to Barcelona and it was a blast. We stayed mostly within the city but we did make a day of it to make it down to the harbor and sit by the water. I think I took in more sun in one day than I did all winter here in Glasgow. So without further delay here are some of the photos we took while on our trip.
This was the first day we arrived, having a pint on the patio.

Hi camera, I'm in Barcelona.

The colourful market.

Keeping my eyes vigilant for pick-pockets

Found a place selling pets, or chipmunks rather.

Clear water.

Looking out at the city from the top of Mount Tibidabo.

A looming merry-go-round.

Even though it's a bit cloudy, that's not keeping me down.

Because there's gotta be a picture of a church.

At the park. Oh what a lovely place.

Found this place in the park and though a fairytale might ensue.

Happy folks!

You can see the city we saw.

Old time elevator.

I don't want to go inside there's blood smeared above the doorway.

This is strangely patriotic in my opinion.

Just like being back at the flat.

I've seen bigger.

Wistfully looking out over the water.

I'm flying!

Try not to smile, just try it.

I think this might be my press pass photo.

One the second floor yet pushing the fourth button...interesting.

Hey, another church.

Tori sneaking into the photo.

Everywhere you look beautiful balconies.

I was serious when I said old time.

Actually the roof of this place in the park.

This roof as a matter of fact.

Here's another view.

The guardian.

Place.

It's as if the house calls to her.

I want this in a park near me.

Tori sneaking into frame once again.

Random noteworthy structure.

Showing my love of architecture.

No texts from architecture.

Pretty.

Us again, having a ball.

This could be an album cover.

Those two curious buildings again.

Let me inside.

It was locked. And I'm not allowed.

This is me in a church.

Thought provoking, isn't it?

Care to take a roll of the dice?

Not sure what's going on here.

Nor here. Seemed to be a protest and that black thing is a mock coffin.

Man and beast shall refrain from engaging in sexual congress.

Now this is colourful. So many smoothies and so damn tasty.

Hallelujah and all that.

Another mug shot.

Kind of a creepy place when you don't see anyone there.

The fruit was delicious.

They do not waste anything.

I'm not sure either.

Watching a turtle eat is awesome.

This is where Tori and I had some lunch.

This is why I don't swim in the ocean.

Dear god the stench was nearly unbearable.

So bright and sunny!

The exterior of the market area.

This place was big if you haven't guessed already.

There were trees all over the city, it was remarkably green.

Near our bus stop.

Stuff and things.

Just because I can't turn that way doesn't mean I can't look that way.

Happy to be outside!

View from our flat.

Another view...

Of course Wolfhat came along.

A set of terribly cool slides.

Departing Barcelona.

Pretty damn cool, right? Anyway that's what I've been up to. Next month looks to be jam packed with things going on. I've got some friends coming into town the end of May and I'm meeting up with them on 10th of June in Italy for a nine day backpacking venture with them. Then the end of June I've got the Edinburgh International Film Festival to cover and I just got the confirmation email I've got my press pass for the entirety of the festival — not too shabby. And come July tori and I are heading to Paris for a bit (we don't have to pay for lodging because tori knows people!!). So yea that's just a heads up. I know I always mention that I'll try to write more on this so what's one more time. I really do mean to, I just don't seems to ever remember.

Cheers!
