Oh my my my my my my my my my, my stars. How is it I can lose track of time so easily while accomplishing nothing? I have plenty of other things to be doing but instead I find myself glued to this damn computer screen. Please don't mistake my moderate frustration with anger or hostility, I'm just letting my fingers fly at the moment without too much thought going into what's being written.
How is everybody doing? I hope everyone is in good spirits as we enter into February. I can't believe I've been over here for 166 days. It seems much shorter than that actually though I'm not sure why. Oh well, the number will only be getting higher so I'm won't reflect upon it too much.
At the moment school is going well. Unfortunately I haven't received any news about my grades from last semester. Hopefully next week I'll have the grades back. Right now it's just more of the same. Lecture, write, movie, write, home, write. Unfortunately I'm not doing as well as I should in putting my writings in the Jump Cuts blog - that's my movie blog for those of you who don't know. I'm still trying to see as many movies as I can while I have my free pass. Most recently I saw Haywire which really impressed me; a nice action flick.
This weekend Tori and I are heading to Amsterdam with some friends. Of course I'm going for the marijuana, mushrooms and promiscuous sex; why else travel to Amsterdam? Kidding folks, this should be a ton of fun. Tori has been there before as has Blake and there are quite a few museums and galleries we're hoping to see. I didn't realize how many canals were in the city so I'm hoping for a tour via boat, that could be very cool. I'll try and take a few photos for everyone to see our adventure.
Aside from this I've got a big month ahead of me. The Glasgow Film Festival begins next week with the Youth Film Festival so I'll probably be living at the theatres for the next 29 days - oh yea, leap year baby! I've been emailing numerous print and online publications about getting a possible press accreditation so I can avoid paying to see the films as well as build up some clips. No replies yet but I'm staying hopeful.
